Abstract
A 24 year old G1P1 female with a BMI of 42.3 kg/m2, and a history of gestational hypertension delivered monochorionic diamniotic twins via cesarean section with spinal anesthesia. She was found to have a second-degree atrioventricular block, Mobitz Type 1 in the PACU. The patient was then transferred to the SICU for evaluation. She was asymptomatic in the SICU and hemodynamically stable. This case highlights potential contributing factors to the development of AV block in this clinical context and underscores the importance of anticipating a broad range of possible complications during cesarean delivery under neuraxial anesthesia
