Abstract
An 86-year-old female with a history of severe hypertrophic cardiomyopathy underwent a cervical posterior laminoplasty that required neuromonitoring. Preoperative echocardiogram showed a peak gradient across the left ventricular outflow tract of 50 mmHg with a "dagger shape" doppler profile. We will review patient demographics at risk of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, labs and imaging related to mentioned disease, and perioperative management techniques for patients with severe hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
