Abstract
A 63-year-old male with a history of supraventricular tachycardia underwent right-sided extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy for a kidney stone. During the procedure, the patient experienced nine seconds of ventricular tachycardia that resolved spontaneously. We will review complications that may occur during and after shockwave lithotripsy, contraindications for shockwave lithotripsy, and various anesthesia techniques that assist with decreasing the risk of mentioned complications.
