Abstract
Hypoxia is a common sequela during single lung ventilation with a double lumen endotracheal tube. Single lung CPAP may be used to improve oxygenation in these cases. However, all major medical device companies have ceased production of single lung CPAP. We have created an alternative solution by adding a pressure valve to a Jackson-Rees circuit using a connector found in our respiratory therapists' work room.
