Abstract

Accurate documentation of Surgical Site Infection (SSI) prevention bundle components is essential for quality improvement and patient safety. In National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN)-reported colon (COLO) and hysterectomy (HYST) procedures, incomplete or inconsistent documentation undermines bundle fidelity and limits evaluation of outcomes. This initiative aims to determine whether embedding evidence-based interventions within implementation science frameworks improves documentation accuracy and ensures sustainability.
